A committee of the P-E-I legislature is recommending a joint audit be conducted of the Atlantic Lottery Corporation every five years.
An audit done by the four Atlantic auditors general last year was the first time since the 1990s any of them had conducted a performance review of the corporation.
That audit raised concerns about executive pay raises and spending on hospitality, among other issues which the ALC was quick to address and make appropriate changes as recommended.
P-E-I’s Public Accounts Committee has recommended Atlantic Lotto undergo more regular audits and is also calling for a change in the way bonus pay is calculated for A-L-C executives.
