The first candidate seeking the mayor’s seat in the capital city in 2018 has officially announced his intentions.
Charlottetown resident Al Douglas has announced his candidacy early, saying he’s determined to begin a dialogue with all residents ahead of next year’s municipal vote.
Douglas says he recognizes that there are many issues facing Charlottetown and he feels passionately that he can provide an innovative approach to tackle issues ranging from economic development to sustainability.
Al Douglas has worked as an event director for Tourism Charlottetown; for the Murphy Hospitality Group, and has served as a volunteer on several cultural and mental health organizations in the Charlottetown area.
