A 32-yard field goal with 53 seconds left, shortly after Toronto tied the game, gave the Argonauts a stunning Grey Cup win over the Calgary Stampeders, 27-24. Toronto tied it on Cassius Vaughn’s Grey Cup-record 109-yard fumble return and Matt Black picked off Calgary’s Bo Levi Mitchell in the end zone to clinch the win. Toronto’s Devier Posey was named M-V-P of the game.
Adkins Hanover dominated the preferred pace again Sunday afternoon at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park but all eyes were on Marc Campbell. Campbell had two winners on the program as he slid past his all-time driving win record at Red Shores Charlottetown winning with Female Finesse in 2:02.2 to tie his 144 single season win record at the capital oval. Later in the card, Campbell teamed up with Best Risque for win 145 of the season as he continues his march towards a new win standard.

The Oilers wrapped up a five-game road trip with a victory. Ryan Strome broke a tie early in the third period as Edmonton doubled up the Boston Bruins 4-2. The Oilers finished the road swing with two wins and three losses. Earlier, the Vancouver Canucks lost 4-3 in a shootout to the New York Rangers. Jimmy Vesey had the trying goal in the third and added the winner.
