Stratford RCMP nabbed a couple suspected impaired drivers over the weekend.
Police say they got a complaint about a possible impaired driver at a drive-thru at 1:00 Saturday morning. Police were tiold that the suspect had jumped through the drive-thru line ahead of waiting motorists, and had a confrontation with one of them. Police found him still in the drive-thru and he was arrested for impaired. Police say the 37 year-old Charlottetown area man provided breath samples that were just over three times the legal limit.
At about 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, the Mounties got a call about a possible impaired driver leaving Stratford headed to the Souris area. The driver was located and arrested in Kings County area after showing signs of being impaired. He provided samples of his breath that police say were double the legal limit.
