The countdown is on to the 2017 Home Hardware Road To The Roar Pre-Trials curling at Credit Union Place. It all starts Monday with 28 teams, 14 men’s teams and 14 women’s teams, competing for the final two spots for each of the men and women in the Tim Horton’s Roar of the Rings in Ottawa next month. Some of the teams to watch for include PEI’s very own Adam Casey, Glenn Howard, John Morris and Shannon Kleibrink.
Next May, over 400 athletes, coaches and support staff will descend into Charlottetown, Summerside and Tyne Valley for the Special Olympics 5-pin and 10-pin National Bowling Championships. This is the first major event in North America during Special Olympics 50th anniversary year.
