The Houston Astros have a 2-1 lead in the World Series after a 5-3 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Astros went to work quickly and led 4-0 in the 2nd inning chasing Dodgers pitcher Yu Darvish. He went 1.2 innings…the shortest outing his career.
Josh Reddick had 2 hits and scored 2 runs. Lance McCullers got the win. Game 3 is tonight at 9.00 Atlantic.

Holland College lost 9-4 to Durham College in the baseball nationals. The Hurricanes play the St. Clair Saints today.

The UPEI Panthers took their fourth straight loss bowing 4-3 in overtime to the visiting Saint Mary’s Huskies in AUS hockey. The Panthers led 3-1 before the Huskies tied the game in the 3rd. Anthony Repaci scored the winner with only 14 seconds left in OT.
Stephen Shipley scored twice for the Huskies. Gabe Guertler had two for the Panthers.
UPEI hosts Acadia at 7.00.

First place St. F.X. improved to 7-0 with 4-2 win over Moncton.
UNB dropped Acadia, 7-4.

The Toronto Raptors bounced the LA Lakers, 101-92 in the NBA. DeMar DeRozan with 24 points.

The Las Vegas Golden Knights blanked the Colorado Avalanche, 7-0 in the NHL. That’s 8 wins in 9 games for Gerard Gallant’s expansion Knights. The Washington Capitals had only eight wins all season in their first year.
James Neal and David Perron among the goal scorers. Oscar Dansk made 32 saves.
Columbus got by Winnipeg, 2-1 in overtime. Josh Anderson had the winner.
St. Louis got its 8th with a 2-1 effort over Carolina. Brayden Schenn scored the clincher.
Chicago managed 44 shots but only one goal in a 2-1 loss to Nashville. Craig Smith with the winner.
New Jersey edged Ottawa, 5-4 in a shootout.
Dallas got by Calgary, 2-1.

A lighting system problem has caused tonight’s harness card at Red Shores to be moved to Sunday afternoon at 1.00 that will feature the Island Breeders Championship.
Sunday’s races in Summerside will be moved to Monday evening at 6.30.
