Don’t be alarmed Wednesday afternoon when you see a lot of emergency response vehicles and activity near the Charlottetown Airport.
From 1:00pm 4:00pm Wednesday, the Charlottetown Airport Authority is hosting a full-scale training exercise to simulate an aircraft emergency at the Airport.
Among the agencies taking part are the Charlottetown Airport Authority, NAV Canada, Charlottteown Police, Island EMS, Charlottetown Fire Ddepartment, EMO and the QEH.
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital says that although its emergency department will play a large role in the disaster exercise, emergency care at the hospital will not be affected by the exercise.
Also, regular airport operations will proceed as normal.
