Charlottetown Police conducted road checks Saturday, resulting in them issuing 17 tickets for various infractions of the Highway Traffic Act.
Police checked approximately 1500 vehicles during the course of Operation Impact, and will continue efforts to ensure Island roads are safer.
The road checks had a focus on seat belt use, impaired driving, aggressive and distracted driving.
