A man convicted of killing a woman in P-E-I has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 17 years.
Joel Lawrence Clow was sentenced Monday morning after being convicted in July of second-degree murder in the death of Traci Lynch.
She had been in a relationship with Clow and was found bludgeoned and strangled on his property in Pleasant Grove in July 2015.
Defence lawyers had argued Clow was too high on drugs to know what he was doing, but Justice Nancy Key said she did not accept evidence that he did not have the intent to kill Lynch.
