The 4-H PEI Trust Fund recently launched its Centennial Legacy Fundraising Campaign and got a huge surprise from one Island business.
The Trust Fund was established 30 years ago to provide additional programs and services for 4-H members and leaders.
Amalgamated Dairies Limited (ADL), a long-time corporate supporter of the 4-H program, added excitement at the Crapaud launch with a $10,000 commitment.
ADL President Abe Buttimer says many of its’ producer-owners are active in the program and know the impact 4-H has on developing young leaders in Island communities.
Trust Fund Chair Fred Vanderkloet says they also received start-up donations last fall from PEI Mutual Insurance and supporters Steve Howatt and Kelley McGuire when discussion of the campaign began last fall.
The campaign will run for the next year and more information, as well as a link for secure online donations, can be found at pei4h.ca
