The Woodstock Slammers won their home opener, 4-3 over the Summerside Western Capitals as the Maritime Jr. League season began. The Slammers scored two goals in the 1st and two more in the second. Kallum Muirhead, Morgan MacDonald and Bryce Tracey replied for Summerside.
