Auditor General Jane MacAdam will soon looking into the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission which has not had a comprehensive review made since its inception in 1991.
This will be the first time a review is done by the Auditor General.
Commission members are appointed by government.
Opposition Leader Jamie Fox says it is about time a review was done.
Fox would like to know how the commission makes its decisions and when they are made public. He hopes things can be improved and modernized.
The Auditor General will look at how the regulator works.
The commission oversees a number things including fuel prices, some sales of land, waste management and rental issues.
