Not too many wins for PEI over Ontario in baseball but there was one last night in the National Under 15’s in Summerside. PEI edged Ontario, 2-1 as left handed pitcher Tanner MacLean helped his own cause with a walk off hit in the bottom of the 7th that scored Jack MacKenzie.
MacLean fired a complete game.
Both teams are 1-2. PEI plays unbeaten Quebec (3-0) this morning.

PEI has a pair of 3-0 teams in the Eastern Canadian Under-16 fastpitch championship in O’Leary. Western PEI downed Nova Scotia One, 8-1. Also an 8-1 win for Eastern over Nova Scotia Two. Western then beat Quebec Two, 6-1 and Eastern trimmed Ontario One, 5-4.

The Moncton Wildcats (2-0) skated past the Charlottetown Islanders, 4-2 in Q exhibition hockey.
Jacob Pelletier with the winner two minutes into the third. Defenseman Taylor Egan and Evan Gallant scored for the Islanders (0-2) who play Acadie-Bathurst tonight at 7.00.
MacPherson, Adam Merner and Mike McGuigan all had driving doubles.
Harness racing tonight at 6.00 in Charlottetown and Sunday at 1.00 in Summerside.
