A pair of barns that contained two tractors, a truck and farm equipment and tools were destroyed in a fire in Hunter River on Thursday.
The New Glasgow and North River Fire Departments responded to the blaze around 1.00 on Thursday afternoon on the Hopedale Road.
No one was hurt and no animals were in the barn.
Cause of the fire can not be determined according to the Fire Marshal’s office because of the damage.
Also, a fire in Cherry Valley that occurred last Saturday will go down as undetermined according to the Fire Marshal.
The Vernon River Fire Department responded to that blaze where three barns that had some goats and turkeys inside were destroyed.
