A 26-year-old Island woman has found her dream job after graduating from a heritage retrofit carpentry program at a local college.
One week after graduating, Jenna MacNeill was hired to work on the renovation of historic Province House in Charlottetown.
MacNeill says she’s starting off by documenting pieces of the original building that can be restored, like wooden window frames, archways and baseboards.
She says the restoration team has uncovered artifacts hidden in the walls like a kazoo, antique pudding tins, rum bottles and eyeglasses, which have been donated to the P.E.I. Public Archives
