The Board of Camp Gencheff held a bar-be-que to honour the members of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown last night for their continued contribution to the camp for people with special needs.
Camp Gencheff is located in Bellevue Cove near Stratford and has been in operation since 1961.
Rotary has has been involved throughout the years through the Easter Seals campaign.
This year Rotary is celebrating 100 years.
Edna Reid is the incoming chair of the Easter Seals campaign and has been a longtime member of Rotary and is a former Camp Gencheff board member. She says the camp has grown over years from a summer facility to one that operates year round.
Many of the Easter Seals Ambassadors for PEI have been campers in years past.
