Northumberland Ferries has had to change its schedule for today and until further notice to five crossings from Wood Islands and Caribou each day from both sides.
The Confederation has a problem with its propulsion system controls so only the Holiday Island will be in service for now.
Donald Cormier, Vice-President and General Manager of Northumberland Ferries Limited says they regret any inconvenience the change has caused.
He says the company engineers are working with the manufacturer to get replacement parts and complete repairs as soon as possible.
