The PEI Plant Disease Diagnostic Laboratory is now accepting samples from this year’s agriculture crops to test for a prevent any plant diseases.
The service is free for growers.
Crops that can be tested are potatoes, fruits, and Cole crops like broccoli, cabbage and kale plus cereal crops like wheat, corn and barley.
You can take samples to the lab in Charlottetown or any Access PEI office.
Agriculture Minister Alan McIsaac says the service is important to confirm any plant disease early on .
The service will continue through November.
