The latest Corporate Research Associates survey shows the PEI Liberal Party remains the preferred party in the province, despite continuing downward support.
In this latest poll, the MacLauchlan Liberals have 38% support, down from 48% in February. Backing for the Green Party stands unchanged at 26 percent, tied with the the Progressive Conservative Party, which saw its support rise from 19% three months ago. Ten percent of PEI residents support the New Democratic Party.
Green party Leader Peter Bevan-Baker is now the preferred choice for Premier of 37% of Islanders, putting him ahead of Liberal Premier Wade MacLauchlan’s 24% support. MacLauchlan’s support is down from 29% in February and 37% last November. PC interim leader Jamie Fox is the preferred choice for Premier of 15% of Islanders, while six percent back Mike Redmond of the NDP.
