Temporary shelter is available for Islanders who need a safe place to stay, especially during extreme or bad weather. Islanders in need of shelter urgently can call the Shelter Support Line at 1-833-220-4722, or be connected to the line by dialing 2-1-1.
The Community Outreach Centre is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. offering help to those with immediate and urgent shelter needs. To reach the centre, call 902-368-3884 during operating hours, or outside of these hours call the Shelter Support Line at 1-833-220-4722.
