Charlottetown Police Services was on routine patrol when the Officer noticed a suspicious vehicle and verified the license plate. The plate came back as stolen. The vehicle attempted to evade Police and drove over lawns on private property. The driver the fled on foot at which point a perimeter was established and the RCMP Dog Services was called to assist with the search of the suspect. The Police Dog was able to locate the suspect a short distance away and the male was arrested without incident.
A 48 year old Kingston man has been charged with operating a motor vehicle while being pursued by police, possession of stolen property and breach of probation. The accused with appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
