The Tampa Bay Lighting are up 3-2 in the NHL eastern conference final holding off the Washinton Capitals, 3-2.
Ryan Callaghan helped the Bolts to a 3-0 lead early in the second period with the eventual game winner and an assist. Washington rallied in the second half of the game on goals by Evgeny Kuznetsov and Alex Ovechkin but came up short. It was the first time the home team has won in the series. Game 6 is Monday night on the Capitals home ice. Tampa up 3-2.
Las Vegas in Winnipeg today in the Game 5 of the western final. The Golden Knights up 3-1.

Summerside defenseman Noah Dobson did most of the work setting up the game winner as the Acadie-Bathurst Titan edged the Swift Current Broncos, 4-3 in overtime in the Memorial Cup.Liam Murphy jammed in the winner at 2.58 of OT.
Dobson was a plus 2.
Sam Asselin scored twice for Bathurst.
Giorgio Estephen scored a pair of last minute goals for the Broncos in the 1st and 2nd periods.
The Broncos lost star forward Tyler Steenbergen after he was hurt is a collision and did not return. He’s day-to-day.
The host Regina Pats play the Titan today. Both are 1-0.

Switzerland continues to be Canada’s kryptonite. The Swiss held on for a 3-2 over Canada in the World Hockey Championship semi-finals. Gataen Hass scored the game winner early in the 3rd after a Gregory Hoffman power play goal had put Swiss up 2-1 in the 2nd.
Canada will play the USA for the bronze today.

The Cleveland Cavaliers returned home and got back into the NBA eastern final by demolishing the Boston Celtics, 116-86. Lebron James with 27 points and 12 assists. Kevin Love had 14 rebounds. Boston still leads, 2-1.

The New York Yankees used five home runs to drop Kansas City, 8-3. Glebyer Torres with a 3 run shot. Aaron Hicks had his 2nd inside-the-park homer this season and Giancarolo Stanton and Gary Sanchez went back-to-back.
Boston doubled Baltimore, 6-3. Mookie Betts got his 15th homer (he’s batting .368 which tops in the majors with 15 home runs and 32 RBIs). Andrew Benintendi also homered.
Tampa Bay pushed Toronto in to 4th in the A.L. East while getting back to .500 with a 5-3 win over the Angels.
