A first quarter report from APEC, the Atlantic Provinces Economic Council, shows continued growth in the three Maritime provinces.
It says Prince Edward Island is leading the country in job growth. Employment growth was 2.6% in the province – almost double Canadian growth. Retail sales are up 7.4% – well above the national average of 3%.
APEC says there is some weakness in exports and the housing market.
