The Aboriginal Women’s Association of PEI and the Mi’kmaq Confederacy of PEI are partnering to present a free public screening of two movies.
‘Mohawk Girls’ takes a modern look at Indigenous culture and identity among three teenagers while ‘Boxed In’ is a short film focusing on a young women and her struggles with mixed ancestry.
The Aboriginal People’s Television Network and the National Film Board are collaborating on the screenings set for June 13th at 6 p.m. at John J. Sark Memorial School on Lennox Island.
