Rookie Brett Budgell was the overtime hero as the Charlottetown Islanders trimmed the Blainville Armada, 3-2 in overtime to get back into their Q semi-final series.
Budgell took a saucer pass from Nikita Alexandrov and broke in alone to give the Islanders the win at 1.14 of the extra period.
Sullivan Sparkes put Islanders ahead in the 1st period.
Remy Anglehardt tied it for the visitors in the 2nd.
Derek Gentile gave the Islanders a 2-1 lead early in the second but Drake Batherson tied the game again with 55 seconds left and the Armada going with a 6th attacker.
Budgell connected in overtime which puts the Islanders back in the series trailing 2-1.
The Armada out shot the Islanders 39-30
Game 4 is tonight (Wednesday) at the Eastlink Centre.

Acadie-Bathurst got by Victoriaville, 2-1 to take a 3-0 series lead in the other semi-final.
