Justin Trudeau rallied the Liberal troops at a weekend convention in Halifax, in an unofficial launch of the 2019 election campaign.
In a speech to party faithful, the prime minister took on his critics who complain his government is more about image than action.
Trudeau suggested they should “tell that” to the 600-thousand Canadians who’ve found new jobs since 2015.
He also revisited his mantra from the 2015 campaign — repeating “Sunny ways, my friends. Sunny ways.”
Premier Wade MacLauchlan attended the convention on Saturday.
