The Jack Frost Winterfest in Charlottetown attracted nearly 7,000 people in mid-February.
Hotel packages were up 15 per cent for the event.
John Cudmore, who chairs the Winterfest says 37 per cent of visitors came from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
This year’s total attendance is 11 per cent better than 2017.
Wayne Long, the Events Development Officer for the City of Charlottetown says festivals like the Jack Frost are big part of event tourism with the Island capital each year.
