Federal Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay and PEI Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Paula Biggar have announced $7.9 million dollars in funding that will be used on four highway projects.
The announcement came in Stratford and pleases Mayor Davd Dunphy that a roundabout will be built at the Mason Road and Trans Canada Highway intersection.
The other projects include resurfacing of 825 kilometres along Route 2 at Travellers Rest and widening and addling left turning lanes.
A roundabout will be built in Newton on Routes 109 and 111.
A roundabout to be constructed in Oyster Bed Bridge on Routes 6,7 and 251.
The province is spending over $4 million on these projects.
