The Summerside Western Capitals have advanced to the next round of the MHL playoffs after trimming the Campellton Tigers, 2-1. The Caps take the series, 4-1 and won the last four contests.
TJ Shea scored the winner in the second after Kallum Muirhead tied the game. Alex Bishop with 36 saves.
The Caps will play the Edmundston Blizzard in the North Division final.

The Charlottetown Islanders open the President’s Cup playoffs in Quebec City tonight as they take on the Remparts.
They split the season series with Quebec losing in overtime but winning in a shootout early in the season.

UNB got by Holland College, 2-1 to begin the Atlantic College women’s championship in Montague.

Brad Marchand scored his 32nd of the year and added two assists as the injury plagued Boston Bruins came back for a 3-2 win over Dallas. All three goals in the final period.
Antti Niemi made 35 saves as Montreal shutout Buffalo, 3-0.
Taylor Hall scored his 33rd in overtime and added two assists as New Jersey got by Pittsburgh, 4-3/
St. Louis downed Vancouver, 4-1.
Winnipeg outlasted Anaheim, 3-2 in overtime. Kyle Conner scored the winner.

The Toronto Raptors needed a 4th quarter comeback as they pulled out a 116-112 win over New Jersey in the NBA. Kyle Lowry with 25 points. The Raptors are 54-19.

The Tampa Bay Rays came back in the bottom of the 9th to get by Toronto, 6-5 in exhibition baseball. Toronto scored 5 in the top of the 9th including a 3 run homer from prospect Christian Williams. The Rays won as left fielder DJ Davis lost a ball in the sun in the bottome of the inning and two runs scored. The Jays are 13-15 this spring.

The Boston Red Sox shutout the Yankees, 5-0. Brian Johnson improved to 2-0. Masahiro Tanaka took the loss and is 0-3. Sam Travis homered for Boston.

The Islanders open in the QMJHL playoffs in Quebec City as they face the Remparts in the first and second games of the Best of 7 series. Game 1 is today and Game 2 tomorrow. Both games at 4.00.
The Remparts have a balanced scoring attack led by Matthew Boucher who had 31 goals and 69 points.
Goalie Antoine Samuel went 27-18 with a 2.67 goals against average during the season.
The Remparts go into the playoffs hot with an 8-2 record in their last 10.
The Islanders and Remparts split their season series, 1-1 but have not met since November.
Quebec finished 8th with 3 more wins and 2 fewer regulation time losses. The Islanders were 9th overall.
