Charlottetown area employers expect a solid hiring climate for the second quarter of 2018, according to the latest ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey.
33 per cent of employers plan to hire for the upcoming quarter, while zero per cent anticipate cutbacks.
Another 60 per cent of employers plan to maintain their current staffing levels in the upcoming quarter, while the remaining seven per cent are unsure of their hiring intentions.
With seasonal variations removed, there’s an increase of 19 percentage points compared with the same time last year, indicating an active hiring pace for the upcoming months.
