As for reaction to the federal budget, the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce says it welcomes investments in innovation and skills development.
President Rory Francis says the investments in scientific research, equipment, infrastructure, youth employment and entrepreneurship will help PEI’s exporters increase product development, sales and employment.
The Chamber is concerned though by the projected deficit of over $18 billion and the lack of any plan to move to a balanced budget.
