RCMP from PEI and the Edmundston, New Brunswick Police department teamed up on a recent drug bust.
Together they stopped a vehicle on the highway near Edmundston, and searched the vehicle.
During the search, police found and seized over eleven thousand pills of methamphetamine weighing approximately eleven pounds, and a small quantity of cocaine. The methamphetamine pills were packaged for widespread distribution and were believed to have been destined to be sold in New Brunswick and PEI.
Three men, including two aged 27 and 49 from Quebec, and a 25 year old from New Brunswick, were arrested and will face drug related charges.
The investigation is continuing, and more arrests and charges are possible.
