The UPEI women’s basketball Panthers pulled a huge upset as they downed the #1 nationally Acadia, 88-68 on the road.
That’s the first loss for Acadia after 11 straight wins.
Kiera Rigby continued her hot hand with 25 points as the Panthers improved to 6-6.
The men’s Panthers are 0-12 losing 72-61 the Axemen.
Amin Suleman led UPEI with 16 points.

The Island Storm snapped a six game losing streak with a 90-84 effort over the visiting Saint John Riptide.
Franklin Session led the Storm with 26 points. The Storm improves to 9-10 with their first win since December 30th which was also against Saint John.

Holland College men improved to 8-1 with a 133-92 runaway victory over Kings College.
Roosevelt Whyley with 26 points.
The Hurricane women stopped the Blue Devils, 66-50.

Canadian Andrew Wiggins had 29 points and the Minnesota Timberwolves held off the Toronto Raptors, 115-109. Kyle Lowry with a season high 40 points for Toronto.

The Saint Mary’s Huskies scored four straight goals after falling behind 2-1 to the UPEI Panthers on their way to a 5-2 win in AUS men’s hockey on Alumni Night.
