In the provincial legislature Tuesday, the Opposition Progressive Conservatives questioned the Maclauchlan Liberal Government about plans to sell cannabis in standalone stores operated by the P.E.I. Liquor Control Commission.
Finance critic Darlene Compton asked what the start-up costs would be for the stores, how many would open, and what the projected revenues are.
Finance Minister Allen Roach says officials at the commission have been working on a plan, but says the specifics are still being developed.
The government is promising more specifics in the coming months.
