Charlottetown is almost officially recognized as the birthplace of Confederation.
Malpeque MP Wayne Easter’s bill to recognize Charlottetown as the birthplace of Confederation, passed third reading Monday in the House of Commons in Ottawa.
It means that all that is needed now is royal assent, and Governor General Julie Payette is expected to grant that Tuesday night.
