Premier Wade MacLauchlan says he will join the other three Atlantic Premiers in meeting to discuss the rules surrounding legislation that will allow for legal marijuana use.
All four provinces agree that the legal age for cannabis use will be 19.
On PEI consumption will be allowed only in your own residence to start and marijuana will be sold at designated government sites or through e-commerce.
The issue came up in the Legislature.
Opposition Leader James Aylward says its not really a harmonized approach with the provinces having different ideas on where marijuana can be used and how
Premier Wade MacLauchlan says are basically on the same page.
Legislation here will come in during the spring session.
Legal pot will be sold July 1st.
