Holland College is launching new Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant programs.
The new programs will start in September of 2018 on the Prince of Wales Campus in Charlottetown.
Students will gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills they’ll need to be successful as rehabilitation assistants. The skills would be applied in such settings as hospitals, long term care facilities, mental health facilities, rehabilitation facilities, schools, and private physiotherapy and occupational therapy clinics.
Lornie Hughes, Holland College’s Manager of Health and Community Studies Programs, says people considering applying for the program should prepare well in advance, ensuring they meet all of the admission requirements.
Hughes says the first application review date is at the end of February.
