One man escaped injury early Sunday morning in a house fire in Miscouche.
The fire broke out in the basement of the man’s home on Main around 2:30 in the morning.
Miscouche Fire Chief Jason Woodbury said the man escaped the blaze through the back window of the home with no injuries. He was the only one home at the time as his spouse and three children were away.
The fire did extensive damage but was reported to be under control just before 7.00 a.m.
RCMP and Island EMS were also on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
