A 24 year old man has been arrested in Toronto in relation to the murder of former Island resident David Blacquiere of Angus, Ontario.
The 54 year old Blacquiere was stabbed outside a drug store in Weston, Ontario after being confronted by at least two men.
Demetrius McFarquhar surrendered to Toronto Police last Tuesday. He’s being charged with accessory after the fact.
Police are still looking for an 18 year old man, Christopher Enrique Gordon. An arrest warrant has been issued.
Blacquiere was best known as a player for Sherwood and North River in the Island Junior Hockey League in the mid 1980’s.
