The World Sledge Hockey Challenge returns to Charlottetown for the second-straight year and will be held at the MacLauchlan Arena from Dec. 3-9.
In honour of the event, the City Hall bell tower, Holman Grand Hotel and Confederation Centre of the Arts will be lit up in red when Team Canada arrives Thursday and remain lit until the event ends.
Some of the world’s top parasport athletes will be visiting the Capital City to participate in the World Sledge Hockey Challenge. In addition, it’s expected the event will have a positive tourism impact in the shoulder season.
The event is being hosted by ParaSport and Recreation PEI, in partnership with the City of Charlottetown, Hockey Canada, and Hockey PEI.
