A man found guilty of killing a woman who was found dead in a wheelbarrow on his property in P-E-I is appealing his conviction and sentence.
Joel Clow was convicted earlier this year of second-degree murder in the death of Traci Lynch in July 2015 and was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 17 years.
Lynch was found bludgeoned and strangled on Clow’s property in Pleasant Grove but he had argued he was too high on drugs to know what he was doing.
His notice of appeal filed last week says Clow did not receive a fair trial and that hearsay evidence was improperly admitted during the trial — while the Crown has also filed a cross appeal arguing he should have been convicted of first-degree murder.
