Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in PEI Thursday to receive an honour.
At the Confederation Centre of the Arts, Trudeau will be awarded the 2017 Symons Medal. The Symons Medal recognizes a distinguished person who has made an exceptional contribution to Canadian life.
Trudeau will also speak at the ceremony, delivering the Symons Lecture.
Previous recipients include Prince Charles, Prince of Wales; former Governor General David Johnston; former Prime Minister Paul Martin; Dr. David Suzuki; and former Quebec Premier Jean Charest.
