Speaker Buck watts has taken under advisement a matter raised in the legislature Tuesday.
The Opposition PCs raised concerns, suggesting that the Liberal party had details of last Friday’s Capital Budget before it was tabled in the house.
At issue is an advertisement Saturday placed by the PEI Liberal Party for the Liberal candidate in the District 11 by-election, Bob Doiron. That advertisement included specific details announced Friday in the Capital Budget. The Opposition argues that the deadline for the submission of the advertisement would have been Thursday, the day before the Capital Budget was tabled, so those details shouldn’t have been available to the Liberal Party.
