Port Charlottetown says the now-completed 2017 cruise season saw approximately 90,000 passengers and just over 40,000 crew visit the Port.
That means a total direct economic impact of just under $15.5 million.
While there were a number of cancellations due to the newly-implemented speed restrictions and weather, the season itself was one of the best years on record for Port Charlottetown.
In addition to the strong numbers, Charlottetown also welcomed a number of new cruise lines and ships this year. There were inaugural calls from the Silver Muse, Vision of the Seas, Mein Schiff 6, Disney Magic and Norwegian Jade.
