Funding from Ottawa and the province will support programming at UPEI aimed at providing students with actual workplace experience.
It’s called experiential learning and work integration, and the aim is to help students transfer what they learn academically, into the workplace when they graduate.
This programming will help them do that through co-operative education, clinical placements, clinical rotations, internships, and field placements.
ACOA is providing a non-repayable contribution of $114-thousand, while the PEI Government is providing a grant of $17-thousand.
