Opposition Leader James Aylward has announced new critic roles and responsibilities for the upcoming fall sitting of the Legislature.
Aylward will assume critic responsibility for the Premier s Office, Intergovernmental Affairs, Acadian and Francophone Affairs, and Aboriginal Affairs;
Rustico-Emerald MLA Brad Trivers retains critic responsibility for Communities, Land and Environment and adds additional critic responsibility for workforce initiatives;
Morell-Mermaid MLA Sidney MacEwen becomes the new critic for Health and Wellness;
Georgetown-St. Peters MLA Steven Myers assumes additional critic responsibility for advanced learning in addition to existing critic roles for education and rural development.
Aylward also advised Trivers will join the Public Accounts Committee as a permanent member, replacing him.
