The provincial government has launched its action plan to prevent opioid overdoses and deaths.
The plan focuses on opioid-related overdoses and death surveillance, a rapid response protocol to address a sudden increase in opioid-related overdoses in PEI and collaboration on opioid supply.
The plan also focuses on harm reduction, opioid replacement therapy, and communications and education.
