The PEI Sports Hall of Fame will be inducting four new members on Friday, November 24th at the Rodd Royalty in Charlottetown.
The four new inductees are Kim Dolan (curling);
Ken “Trixie” Dunn (baseball & hockey builder);
Debbie MacMurdo (figure skating);
and 1964-65 St. Dunstan’s Saints men’s hockey team (Maritime champions and silver medal at the Canadian nationals)

A wild World Series game at Dodger Stadium. George Springer hit a two-run drive in the 11th inning as Houston rallied to beat Los Angeles 7-6 and tie the World Series at one game apiece. It’s their first World Series win in Houston’s 56-season history. Game 3 is Friday night in Houston.
In the NHL on Wednesday, the Flames fell 5-2 to the St. Louis Blues. Mikael Backlund scored twice for the Flames. The only other NHL game last night saw Columbus beat Buffalo 5-1.
The Toronto Maple Leafs look to continue their winning ways when they host the Carolina Hurricanes Thursday night. Toronto has won seven of its first nine games while Carolina is 3-3-and-1. Elsewhere, Winnipeg visits Pittsburgh, Ottawa hosts Philadelphia, Edmonton welcomes Dallas and Vancouver entertains Washington.
The Charlottetown Islanders, riding a four-game win streak, host Val D’Or Thursday night at Eastlink Centre at 7:00.
In Midget AAA action, Kings County faces Central at Cody Banks Arena at 8:20pm.
In the Midget AAA Female League, Mid-Isle plays Western in Summerside at 8:00pm.
After facing the best that the East Coast has to offer, Likely To Win drops back to Thursday night competition at Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
First race post time is 6:30 P.M. for the 12-dash card at the capital oval. Likely To Win is shouldered with post 6 in his latest test with Adam Merner in the bike in the $2,100 featured event in the race 12 evening finale.

The Eastern Canadian Powerlifting Championships will be taking place in Halifax on Friday and saturday. PEI will have 14 lifters competing at the event, which includes powerlifting and a bench only component.
