With funding from a new program through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, Charlottetown is one step closer to creating a Community Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Strategy.
The Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program is aimed at encouraging municipalities to better prepare for climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The City of Charlottetown will receive nearly $100-thousand through the program as it develops a strategy to meet energy use and greenhouse gas reduction targets it will set.
The City is contributing more than $18-thousand, while Maritime Electric and efficiencyPEI are providing support.
