Yu Darvish pitched into the seventh inning, Chris Taylor homered again and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Chicago Cubs 6-1 to open a commanding 3-0 lead in the National League Championship Series. And the New York Yankees tied the A-L-C-S 2-2 with a 6-4 win over Houston. The Yankees rallied from a 4-0 deficit in the game and a 2-0 deficit in the series.
The San Jose Sharks have the Montreal Canadiens’ number. Logan Couture scored a pair of goals and San Jose extended their dominance of Montreal with a 5-2 victory. The Sharks have won the past 11 home games against the Canadiens, a streak that dates to November 23, 1999. Elsewhere, the Maple Leafs blanked the Capitals 2-0, Vancouver downed the Senators 3-0, Winnipeg dropped a 5-2 decision against the Blue Jackets and the Oilers extended their losing streak to four with a 5-3 defeat against Carolina.

A great night Tuesday night at the Rodd Royalty with the presentation of the Special Olympics PEI Annual awards. Some of the highlights:
The David Andrew award, which recognizes all of the unsung heroes-the parents and guardians of our athletes, went to Jackie Charchuck.
The President’s Award which acknowledges volunteers who have made a significant contribution to the Special Olympics movement locally, provincially and or nationally, went to the Parkdale Sherwood Lions Club.
The ADL Spirit Award winner was Rick Chan.
